Given that I haven't watched Lost since around Season 3 ... I have no real comments on the comic.

However, that is exactly the kind of ass I am when watching television. I can usually predict plots with fairly good accuracy, and I usually can't keep my mouth shut about those predictions.

And hey ... at least it isn't a snow globe.

Never did get on board the Lost train.

Though, I stand by Rayne. Just never in front of him.

I knew it hadn't.

The snow globe comment was re:Rayne's prediction, of sorts.

(Unless I totally misunderstood the point of the comic, which is entirely possible )

Wow, you know that would make a lot of sense.
Living With Insanity - You like naked chicks, right?.
Gemini Storm - My first published comic.

I stopped watching after a giant invisible beast started eating people and trees, and for some reason a polar bear just strolls by, then you find out that the bad guy who was a good guy who was a bad guy who was a good guy who was a bad guy who was a good guy was actually the bad guy! If I wanted to watch something that can't keep a cohesive plot, I'd take shrooms and stare at a fire.

I did see Lost for the first two seasons... Then I just lost interest. Got really absurd from that point on.

But an acid trip? Isn't that what the creators were doing when they came up with the show?

Yes, I'm from Brazil. Yes, we do have elevators. No, we don't live in the jungle.

^ you just answered your own question.
create acid/mushroom trip.
make show that is the incarnation of that.
annoy the hell out of people with random plot devices that are anything BUT that, including a building that could destroy the world if you don't enter a code in time, which makes no sense considering how long it's been there.
???
PROFIT!!!

when I saw the drama over that building, I stopped watching, especially when someone apparently DIDN'T enter the code in time, and NOT JACK SHIT happened.

Haha. That would explain so much. Including why my mates are frigging addicted to the show.

J.J. Abrams' formula:

1) Create semi-realistic-sounding show
2) Slowly work in scifi/supernatural elements, gradually asking viewers to suspend disbelief more and more
3) After second season, just say "f*ck it" and go batshit insane with the supernatural stuff, causing most viewers to scratch their heads and wonder what you slipped in their tea/beer/juice/etc
4) After 5-6 seasons, end show without wrapping everything up completely

DeezNuts nailed it....at least with BSG the first 3 seasons were tense, drama filled episodes that make linear sense before the final season which was going good until the last 4 episodes which divided the fanbase....

I admire the Lost fans that stuck around....but in no way can they convince me this season makes sense....

That's like me trying to tell people that Heroes has ALWAYS had this story as their plan.....

can we go back three years and stop Lost and Heroes from F'n up what could have been awesome television?

My name is Spawn316, and I am a Lost addict.
I spend several hours after an episode has aired trying to figure out just WHAT THE FRAK happend (it makes my brain start to smoke).
They are wrapping SOME things up, but completely contradicting others (which makes me go batshit)
I can recite all of the numbers off by heart and in a few weeks I will be able to recite the names that go with said numbers in order.
I will be depressed when the series ends... at least until True Blood starts up again (then happy happy joy joy times again)

Lost is still the best show on television (in MY opinion)! It does kinda annoy me when people who've never watched or gave up after only a season or two talk about what a "dumb show" it is. It's not your cup of tea? No problem. But that doesn't make it a bad show. It all makes sense as it comes together....and it IS coming together this season.

BTW, the "building that could destroy the world if you don't enter a code in time" makes total sense if you actually watched the show past the second season.

EDIT: BTW...anyone watching Spartacus:Blood and Sand on Starz?? Just started watching and it's fantastic!

It would seem you're telling people that they can't get a feel for a tv show after 48 episodes, which is just silly. People shouldn't have to wait around for 2 entire seasons for the tv show to get interesting enough to watch. I stuck around for an entire season, then read the wiki for the rest. From what I read things just kept getting overly, stupidly dramatic and the characters kept evolving and making decisions in such strange ways.

They never seem to be able to stick with something. IF something good happens then they have to ruin it in six episodes or less. I know it's a way to allow the characters to overcome adversity, but when you can break it down into a formula then they're doing it wrong. The story itself is fine in my opinion, but when it comes to character development it's like they are just winging it, which by the end of season 1 made most of the principal characters unlikable.

no, what I'm saying is that if you don't like a show, that doesn't make it make it a bad show. If you gave it a shot for a season or two and it's not your type of television, fine. But then don't come back after 4 more seasons and talk about how none of it made sense. If you cared enough to complain about it, you would've cared enough to watch and see what happens.

In your case, Aydrian, you gave it a good shot and didnt like the characters. Ok, I get that. HOWEVER, I personally wish you would've stuck longer to see Locke grow into what he is today, to meet one of the greatest characters in the history of television, Ben, or see how certain characters have grown over 6 seasons to change roles in who is a believer in faith and who is a believer of science. EVERY character on the show has grown amazingly..well except kate, but she's still hot lol

I watched the first two episodes of lost, the two that professional writers actually did, and then when they announced the public would pitch in, I stopped, I knew it wouldn't be very good and look where it is now.

Although, the name of the show suits, it completely mindfucks and LOSES you.

Of course, remember that the entire "St. Elsewhere" series turned out to be the imagination of an autistic teenage boy. And I won't even mention the "dream season" on Dallas. But I do know a few Trekkers who are still upset that the "Enterprise" finale was a Holodeck story.
