I had a friend(female) who at 30 went out and bought a used one at a Salvation Army for a $1. She made little cakes at work all the time.

See now, I would totally do that too. I'd set it up on my work-bench and make little cakes for the boys in my shop. And when they were mean to me, they wouldn't get any. tongue.gif

... I want one of these 'easy bake oven' things... What the heck are they?

http://www.hasbro.com/easybake/

One of the most sexist toys of all time (lol), but awesome none-the-less. It's basically just a little plastic oven with a lighbulb in it that's just hot enough to bake the tiny cups of batter.

The boy equivalent, if I recall properly, was a 'mad scientist machine' that made gummy worms and spiders and stuff.

So... when i first read the title... I thought it said X-Men gift... I guess not.

*sigh*

I also don't have a must have gift. I guess it comes with being an only child who has previously gotten everything she wanted. I don't really want things anymore. Except good books. I always want good books.

The Ford Hybrids have a little "plant" on the dash that grows as you drive more efficiently.

o.O That sounds...somehow...adorable. lol

I want a pony.

No really.

Oh okay, what I really want is an Easy Bake Oven... unsure.gif

I had one but the new ones looks more awesome then they once did. Not they do more and look different...before they where just a fire hazard and a plastic spatula thing that allowed you to burn your hand to get tiny brownies and cookies.

Pie: I CHANGE MY ANSWER, I WANT THAT COOKBOOK!!!!! lol

wamma: I'm actually really surprised that I never had one of those because my mom was hardcore about trying to make me a little girly girl. I totally thwarted her by loving Transformers and Ninja Turtles, but she always bought me pink clothes and Barbies, and all that kind of stuff, so it's really surprising that she didn't get me an Easy Bake. shifty.gif

My mom use to do the same actually. It was weird. I grew up with all guy cousins so it was a constant fighting and wanting hot wheels and remote control cars. My mom bought I remember the barbie dream car the pink convertible one with seats and and seat belts for your barbies in it...I use to race my cousins remote controls with my barbie one. Haha good times. Poor barbie was strapped in there for dear life as I rolled her down that hill as fast as the little knob on my controller would let me.

The boy equivalent was Creepy Crawlers, which apparently was first invented long before my time, but was revived in 1992, and thats the version I had
