A nun who was feeling ill went to the doctors and was astounded to hear that she was pregnant. Dumbfounded, she went home to ponder on how such an occurance could possibly have come about. The next day, the nun storms in to the monastery where the monks lived and shouts "Which one of you dirty bastards has been wanking over the candles?!?!"
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but fool a majority of people for just one day, and you have a democracy.
