Why not just nominate the real people behind Ryan? Sohmer and Lars.
A constant internal struggle between that which I am and that which I have been taught to be.

Serious answer: I nominate Don Cheadle and the folks at "Not on My Watch", for their work in calling attention to the events in Darfur...

Ghandi, strangely enough, was nominated 5 times and rejected each time.

Lars... isn't that the dude from Metallica?

I nominate George W. Bush. He spearheaded the human-fish peace efforts.
Some form of flying creature that likes to destroy things. So, in essence, Dick Cheney with wings.
Opinionated sonuvabitch, too.

I wonder if it was so strange, considering some previous recipients... Kissinger and Le Duc Tho springs to mind, especially. Would you want to be associated with them?

Henry Kissinger and Le Duc Tho were nominated for and received the prize in 1973. Mohandas K. Ghandi was nominated five times between 1937 and 1948, and upon his death in 1948, he never received it. So... Ghandi was long dead by the time that Henry Kissinger and Le Duc Tho received the Nobel Peace Prize. I'm fairly certain that Ghandi would have been beyond the point of caring.

Point taken.. Still, Ghandi was a magnanimous soul. I'm sure that he wouldn't have minded, either way.

BTW- I did mean previous to us, not to Ghandi. Sorry I didn't make that more clear...
