Hi guys!

since february, I've been fixing stuff in our "new" apartment, and, quite frankly, I've run out of stuff to do. *shh.... don't tell the missus...*

Now, I like poking around and do improvements at home, and I thought to myself, heck there must be plenty of neat, simple smart solutions the people of LICD have done in their homes.

So, please inspire us by sharing, what stuff have you come up with?

mine? turning a tiny coat room into a walk in closet, with lighting good enugh for make-up, a table and a big mirror.
To top it off, I put welding wire, in two lines, just beneath the mirror. bending the wire for each inch.

thus, my GF now has a place to hang up all her jewelry (cheap as it is), where she can see it all, and choose.

took about an afternoon, but 4 months later, and she's still loving it.

now, that wire, is what I mean by a smart-simple solution.. (IMHO, and GFHO).

Nothing is stupid as long as it's useable and simple =) who knows, SOMEONE might be looking for just the solution that just YOU can give. heck, one of the best ones I've done, was when I needed a cheap, small, low table.
->buy cheap 2nd hand wood chair, saw of the back. and call it a table...

so, SHARE!!!

my inlaws use rubbing alcohol as bug spray and an insecticide in the garden. they but the bottles in bulk, keep it in pray bottles bought at the grocery store. it keeps the tomato worms off the plants, and is easier to wash off than real insecticide, and is safer too.

Hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle is also really useful for cleaning wounds easily (Learned that one in medic training).

Instructables has some really neat home-improvement activities as well as some just-for-fun stuff.
