Very shortly, I will be boarding a plane bound for San Diego. While I have been once denied in my request to pilot said flight (apparently, my time spent in Battlefield 1942 flying various combat airplanes does not qualify as actual flight time), I am nonetheless excited for San Diego Comic-Con, as well as the official kick off of this years convention season.

Lar and I, and a few other members of the Blind Ferret Crew (henceforth known as ‘The Task Force”) will be at Booth #1435 for the duration of the show.

In addition to chatting and signing, we’ll have plenty of merchandise for sale including all 5 LICD Books, The first LICD: Beginnings Hardcover Book (a few copies), Frog King Plushies, LICD Recycled Tote Bags, Key Chains and an enormous amount of shirts and other wear.

Should you be unclear on how to find us (we’re listed under Blind Ferret Entertainment), I thought it best to once again show you the primer video we put together for last year’s convention:



As convention season is the only time of year where my caffeine intake is not carefully monitored, I can’t stress this one point enough: Red Bull is appreciated. It makes my heart dance.

While we’re away, the strip will be updated as usual with McCahan and Tim keeping an eye on things. Of course, I’m sure I’ll be twittering a’plenty as well.

Should you be in the San Diego area this week, we hope to see you as many of you as possible and personally thank you for your continued support.

For now however, I need to get some rest and conserve my energy as I have no doubt my seat on the plane will be between the 900 pound fat guy and the screaming baby.

It's a shame I can't attend, being in Australia and all. Though if I did, I wouldn't just bring Red Bull, I would go with you to your house and build you a moat of Red Bull. Or maybe just a swimming pool. Which would you prefer?

OK, I'll just make everyone hate me - I live more or less across the street from Comic Con, but I'm not going because I didn't bother to buy tickets 18 months in advance or whatever it is now. Ahhh... I'll miss the joy of being able to walk around dressed normally and have a bunch of guys dressed as stormtroopers looking at me like I'm sort of goddamned freak.

In any case, I know where the best restaurants and bars are if anyone wants to e-mail me. If Sohmer or Lar drop a line, drinks are on me.

As a person who spent the whole year trying to go to San Diego Comic Con... I'm proud to say I failed triumphantly, cause I wanted something else more. My boyfriend to move in with me... helping him move 2000 miles.

BUT I will see you in Baltimore, red bull case(s) in hand...

It's a cold comfort considering what I saw for Comic Con this year, but hey it's close to home when I have little to no money.

i so wish i was able to go. my dad got married a few days ago so that was my big thing for july this year, but next year maybe i can go again and bring much redbull and cadbury cream eggs. that would be awesome . maybe move there too just to save on the expense of a place to stay.
