It’s been a random week over here, and with that, comes some randomly pulled jumbled thoughts that are currently being juggled throughout my skull:

  • Futurama is coming back! Comedy Central has picked up the series for 26 episodes, and I couldn’t be happier. To date, it’s the one cartoon series that’s retained its heart while still delivering the laughs.
  • Why am I so captivated by Iranian politics? Regardless, tomorrow’s election should be interesting to watch.
  • When did Pizza pockets become a staple in my diet again?
  • I don’t care what the pork farmers say, I’m still calling it Swine Flu.
  • I genuinely thought I was reading an article from The Onion, but no. Thanks to Patrick for the link.
  • I’ve been giving serious thought of late (the past year) to having Blind Ferret open up a comic book shop in Montreal. It’s still in the early stages of planning, but its been occupying a large portion of brain real estate lately.
  • I had a dream the other night that I was ‘Ender’ in Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game novel, except when I got to Battle School, the first thing I said was ‘fuck this’.
  • I really need to pick up some new Xbox games. Any good first person shooter recommendations?
  • For those of you who don’t know, McCahan (our network administrator) is in Montreal for the summer, and is staying in my house for a month before moving in with Nick in July. I’m pretty sure he’s enjoying his time here, except for the time he spends with me in the commute to and from work. I’m not sure why he keeps his eyes closed and mutters prayers under his breath, but I’m sure it has nothing to do with the 3 orange lights I went through yesterday and the sidewalk I drove over to get through traffic faster.
  • Pizza pockets really don’t sit well.

That’s it for the moment, back tomorrow when my thoughts will hopefully coalesce into one meaningful train.

By the way, as a general rule, is one supposed to ‘chew’ pizza pockets or swallow them hole, duck style?

- Because I can.

JUST so you know, my friend, because I'm a music geek and I love that song...

...It's actually Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger, definitely not a Green Day song, I have a copy of the track if you'd like a listen

I recommend Dead Space. Great shooter with sci-fi/horror elements. Bioshock is good too if you haven't played it yet.

That Ender's Game dream made me Laugh harder than I have in a while. My reaction would have been "You're really gonna let me fight in zero-g? Do you know me?"

First, about the hot pockets, i always thought you ate them like the soul of a child, absorbing them into your being? at least that's how i eat em.

About some good shooters, I agree about the games said already, but Red Faction: Guerrilla is a good shooter cause you can blow apart just about anything you see, Strategically or just to see shrapnel fly

I broke the news to McCahan that everyone in Quebec drives like that. I'm not sure he was hearing me. I think he went to his happy place.

Personal favorite shooters are Gears of War 1 & 2, Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, and Dead Space. If you're looking for something funny Battlefield: Bad Company has some hilarious dialogue, and although not really a shooter, Mirror's Edge is a great First-person game, with limited shooting but alot of running.

MW2 is coming Sohmer, it's coming like a ton of bricks so you better just open your door and come along for the ride, because it doesn't care if it needs to run over your sister's aunt's dog to get there, it will and it won't matter if you can handle a chain saw or an ax in real life.. you will like it. </end channeling Dennis Leary>

Chewing or swallowing like a duck of the pizza pocket is relative to how you cook it. If you microwave, then swallow like a duck, if you take the time to bake, might as well chew it. Unfortunately, neither method will help with how it sits, sorry.
