So. Saw an awesome GI Joe movie. It picks up with the same characters from the comics and cartoon, not just using the names, and takes it further in the anime artwork style. Much more realistic violence, attitudes; it was amazingly enjoyable. I mean, people actually died instead of a million shots being fired and not hitting anyone, you actually hear the splurch sound and Snake Eyes' sword slicing through Cobra Agents, the gear, uniforms, tactics, and weaponry were all a lot more realistic than the original cartoon. I saw it and thought it was really well done, how this plays into the LAF this summer I have no idea.

I don't believe it does. It takes off from the animated series they had more recently.
