I saw this article on another website, and though it would be an interesting discussion for here;

Pretty bad article. Howard the Duck was just an excuse to test out some new special effects. And for the record, had some really funny parts. Willow, I didn't think was bad either. He makes movies for little kids, not adults. The adults now that trash him need to stop watching kids movies and complaining about them, and grow up. He's made an animation studio that does the animation in most films and wins awards for it every year. Kids are still watching his movies and TV shows and love them as much as these adults loved his stuff when they were kids. Something tells me he's doing something right.

I remember watching Phantom Menace the first time and my first thought wasn't about Jar-Jar Binks. My first thoughts were, wow, the light saber fight got a lot cooler.

That's because when George orignally made lightsabers, in his mind they were as heavy as they were powerful. big heavy huge double handed swords. He... changed his mind.
He who does not love wine, wife, and song will be a fool his whole life long

Saying he only made children movies is not true.
But while the new Indy was pretty atrocious, I think he can do whatever the hell he wants. I actually thought the clone wars animation was pretty fun, I saw it with my girlfriends little brothers who enjoyed it a lot.

Won't you have some fun with me?
I'll be damned if I'm taking the stairs--the elevator was out of service once, I called in sick - someone with great wisdom.
Clearly you are wrong, proof of this is that you disagree with me.
I'm not crazy, I'm just very creative with my sanity.

I just love how this article offers up examples of "kick-ass female characters" being "Angelina Jolie in Wanted, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars and Rosario Dawson".

Wow, I can't believe that someone would think that badly of George Lucas. I mean come on people, retire? I for one loved all of the Star Wars Movies but my least favorite part about them was the dude who played Anakin in II and III he looked like a wimp, but Obi Wan made up for that. And as for Indiana Jones IV as I'm going to call it, I liked it! What's everyone's deal about the Aliens? The first one melted peoples faces! And whether this guy (and the maker of South Park, gawd don't get me started) wants to realize it or not, the thing about the long-headed natives was true. They did what the Indie movies all did took myths and legends and put them on the screen with a twist.
This is my blog click it but only if you intend to read! Dun Dun Duuuun!

The People vs George Lucas: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Aoc3roT81nU
Presents a kind of interesting look at things. In a way, I feel like making that doc is a huge waste of time. Rather than bitch about how much you hated something (something I'm personally horribly guilty of), why not put forth a creative effort to birth something you do love? On that note though, there is a very interesting bit brought up at 1:30 in the trailer about George not making the movies he claimed to make.
There's also the slightly innacurate comment about merchandising and Return of the Jedi. The merchandising aspect of Star Wars was in full effect before Empire even came out, but it was with RotJ that you started to feel like things were put in the movie solely for the purpose of selling associated good. Namely, Ewoks.
