"The dwarves" by Markus Heitz.

It's originally in German, but allready translated into several languages(probably english too, since it's such a big market)

I just finished reading the fourth and final book and I seriously like it. It gave me a new look on dwarves and heroïsm in general.

Really talented writer, I'll be trying to look into more of his work.
