It's really sad, but Slashflim has gotten confirmation that Joel Silver is just waiting on Mil Gibson's approval.
Expect plenty of "I'm told old for this" jokes.

There was plenty of that in the last one wasn't there?

Actually.. both those were pretty good. Die Hard still wasn't as good as the first one, but it was definitely entertaining and worth watching at least once. I've watched it a few times as it's on HBO now, so I put it on while I'm doing other things.

**We are now hearing that Shane Black may have only handed in a detailed treatment to Joel Silver and that they are taking two old scripts and mashing them together to make LETHAL WEAPON 5… Also hearing that Silver is after Columbus Short for a role**
Well... That sounds like a good idea...
I saw the new Die Hard and enjoyed it for what it is, an entertaining, non-thinker. Didn't see the new Rambo, didn't see the new Indiana Jones... Probably not gonna see this one either.

I'm glad you posted that quote, cause I meant to look up Columbus Short, I have no idea who that is. After checking IMDB, I love how he was the voice of the pedestrian in GTA:SA. but really the other stuff he was in just looks painful. why exactly would they want him? Was Little Bow Wow or Nick Cannon not avilable? Was Sisqo to old?

The new Indiana Jones was terrible. But both Rambo and Die Hard were enjoyable movies. So I'll see what this one looks like before deciding whether I see it or not. But just because someone's older doesn't automatically mean the movie's going to suck.

If SN = SilentNight.. then I don't get what's wrong with you guys.. he doesn't look remotely Mexican.. He's probably Korean or something.

Indiana Jones was fine, for the first 20 minutes. Just think of the Refrigerator Scene as a taking Refuge in Audacity instead of being a Wall Banger, and it's perfectly entertaining viewing, I thought. South Park seemingly disagrees, but that's their problem
After that, mind... :cringe:
Anyways, I can't see Lethal Weapon 5 doing anything other than flopping. #2 was reasonably entertaining, and progressively the series worked its way down to "Oh Jesus, Not This Again...". The fact that Mel Gibson's career is pretty much over and Danny Glover really *IS* far too old for this sort of thing certainly won't help.

It's funny how with all the "I'm to old for this" jokes, that no one has brought up the over annoying Pechi character.

I think Pesci's character was left out because no one could figure out how to work in a "They fuck you at the..." joke out of this situation just yet. And yea, I'm really dreading this being greenlit, almost as much as I dread the next installment of the Beverly Hills Cop series, as Eddie Murphy ceased being funny years ago (Around Pluto Nash, really.)
