Hey, don't know how many Terry Goodkind fans are in here, but there's a trailer for the ABC series "The Legend of the Seeker" (originally titled "The Wizard's First Rule")

Those of you who know the series, geek out and recognize at least 5 characters!

I thought I saw definitely Richard and Kahlan...maybe even Zedd and Chase? Other than that I'm not sure...I don't think the quad counts...I like Kahlan's Mother Confessor dress. Very flowy.

Nerdgasm!

I definitely like the look of Kahlan, but Richard looks like a kid. That's not at all how I had him pictured.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that they could very well turn it into a "coming of age" story with how young he looks. I mean, while the actress for Kahlan is attractive, she's not the holy fuck gorgeous that she's supposed to be -- but that's okay. I can understand how finding someone like that would be difficult, and then finding one who can act would be even harder. No problem there. But the kid.....wow.

And what's with Richard shoving the sword into the ground? I don't seem to recall him doing that in....well....ever.

I do remember him doing so, but he was already a war wizard, and he was standing next to the Slith in an underground chamber when he did. I think. (It's been a while.) He didn't want anyone to get their hands on the Sword, so he made it unretrievable by anyone but himself.

Okay, aside from in Blood of the Fold, and not just for the sake of stabbing it in the ground tongue.gif Little bit of a difference between a purposeful guarding of the Sword versus going "guh! There. It's in the ground. It looks neat now."

Well yeah, but then Richard never had to deal with TV studio executives demanding a "really cool sword trick." tongue.gif

So, what, making it disintegrate skulls (and pretty much anything it's swung at) and glow white aren't "really cool sword tricks?" tongue.gif

Seconded. Richard is supposed to be a big guy. And who said she wasn't hot enough?

'Sides, we all know books are generally better than movies/TV, this is not a really a big surprise.

Richard definitely looks too young - I had him pictured as a more heavily built mid 30s type.

Well, i saw what i think was meant to be a gar, but...

Yeah, i think it looks kinda cheap... to do this series ANY justice it needs to be a decently funded feature film franchise...

I didn't see a link.

Should be cool. Should this be under TV?

It's going to be interesting, to say the least.

Zedd looks a little too creepy, I always pictured Chase to be bigger, and not so black (No racism intended), Kahlan's too old, and Richard's too... Small.
