Ok, let's try this again. We talked about it, and we can try rounds again, but this time there will be a time limit so if you miss your turn you just wait for it to come around back to you. I suppose I'll PM everyone as your turn comes up and again if you miss your window.

I was thinking- for story- about doing a bit about a couple of teams with special skills. Not necessarily super powers, but in that sort of fantastical vein. Just less straightforward and powerful skills. Like astral projection, replacing an eye with a camera(something I've always personally wished I could do), extremely good vision, etc. But I'm totally open.

Well, it wouldn't be impossible to do it with 4 people, but it might be fun to get a few more. Any other interest?

I want to play. But, only if I can start. The reason for this is, I just dug up something on my computer, that I think would make the perfect opening for this. I wrote it ages ago, and I just read it over, and was kind of like "where was I going with this..?" So we can take it wherever we want. And I think it would fit nicely with the story Ragnex described.

I'd also like to suggest a quota. The potential begining I'm speaking about is a page on Microsoft word (size 11 font, arial). I'd need to tweek it (so length could change), but I think it would work, and I could have it up super quickly (so if I get to be first, whoevers second, be ready!).

I'd be interested if I could be placed towards the middle / end, and once I've kind of seen what the story is.

hmmm,
i'm not much of a writer, but put me down near the end, ... if you want to, i more or less want to see where the story starts off and the average length of everyone's addition

and maybe each person could have their own character, that way you get multiple perspectives on the plot while it's happening... tho that would be hard to set up and would require a bit of planning among the writers, or some understanding of each other's characters basic behavior and motives

That's fine, as long as you're fine with the rest of us taking indecent liberties with your work. I dunno about a quota, I think if everyone just does what they feel they can than it will work out better.

I don't really like the idea of everyone taking their own character, mostly because that would lead to far less interation among main characters. No one wants to write for someone elses character, so it would end up really being 6 stories (or however many writers) just put into one thread and punctuated by 5 other stories. It takes the fun out of round robin, which is working off of what other people have given you.

So, if KT has got the beginning done, do we need to come up with story ideas?

Are we doing just one chapter each, or will we be looping back to the top of the list?

I'd think looping. I can't imagine getting it done in 7 chapters. Not when they are a page or 2 each.

We should probably then have some sense of the structure. I.E. first time around is act 1, second is act 2, third is act 3. That way it's not just plodding on forever and can have some sense of direction.
