Yes, I know it's been done before, but we have some new people around, and I have some new shelves!

If you don't feel comfortable posting your shelves, then post pics of your favourite bookstore or library!

Here's mine:

And yes, I'm aware that my shelves have a collection of a little bit of everything. tongue.gif

I'll leave this up all next week so you have some time to get your pics online!
C'mon in. Sit down. Read a little.

Mmm...nice -->I see Erikson, Tolkien, Rawn, Asimov, Jordan, a splash of McCaffrey good.gif
...some Modesitt (not a big fav of mine - too simple)
...some Tom Clancy (can't read fantasy/sci-fi all the time...or can you?)

And I now wish my eyesight was better. What a fantastic idea. I'm definitely commandeering my sister's camera this weekend!

I have too many books to fit on a shelf, but my faves are in the feline mystery genre and Harry Potter

Woohoo, Star Wars books--go n9zee!

I currently onyl have one puny little half-size bookshelf set up, but I have like 4 boxes of books in my dad's basement. Eventually when I get a more permanent residence, I'll have to buy more shelves, cuz my book collection doesn't get any smaller, thats for sure

Wow, i want to share mine, but the camera phone does absolutely horrible in this instance. Big enough to see any range of books, they all blur together, close enough to see individual books (forget titles), and you se maybe 7 books at a time. I have 104 books, plus 47DVDs (with 2 loaned out still) and 2VHS tapes.

That is way organize, good job, wow. I have a closetful of books here at my apartment and piles of them lying all around the house. If I ever clean and organize it I shall post mine. Seriously, a closetful. I don't have linens in my linen closet, I have books.

I have another three bookshelves at my parents'. Not toting around excess books as I move around.

From what I can tell from your collection it's a lot of fantasy and Sci-Fi and Clancy. Do you have Dune in there somewhere? I can't tell cause of the size of the photos.

Why, thank you for all the nice comments!

I do have a few of the feline mystery genre: parts of Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who... series. Very fun to my mind. I also want a few more Star Wars novels, I really enjoy them. Moreover my more recent purchases do tend towards sci-fi, for some reason military sci-fi more than space operas. Go figure.

As for Dune, I don't have a set, but my father has the 'Frank Herbert originals' on his shelves. And while it seems like a lot of Clancy, most of that is one series, most of which isn't written by the original authors anymore.

There's a few non-fiction lurking as well; A Brief History of Time, The Fabric of the Cosmos, Infinite Ascent.

Anyway, enough about mine; show me yours! biggrin.gif Organisation is not a requirement! wink.gif

I should've seen this post way earlier... I just recently got a new bookshelf cause my books weren't fitting in my room. Voila:

And after seeing n9zee's books... I don't feel too bad having the books I have. I need more! tongue.gif

I should also take a few close-ups so the books are easier to see... especially since that top shelf now has books on it since I last took a picture of it. It's almost full too! I really do have a compusion when it comes to books. So much fun!

I don't have any of my original books with me, as I'm in New York for the year. The ones I do have are new(ish). I do have about 40 e-books, though.

Dragonlance Chronicles - Margaret Weis and Tracey Hickman
The Good Guy - Dean Koontz
Dreams of Terror and Death - H.P. Lovecraft
Dreamcatcher - Stephen King
Skeleton Crew - Stephen King
The Zombie Survival Guide - Max Brooks

I'm really planning on adding a lot more when I can get myself a job.
