A few of us have been talking on IRC lately about how we like to get handwritten letters in the mail. I like getting mail and when I do have time to write back, I love doing it. I collect stationary that I never use. tongue.gif

So it looks like the penpal thing is on. More than ten people are interested. Yay!

Here are some directions to get it started off (before I get to the list):
- Pick a person from the list you are interested in writing to.
- PM them to see if they have time to write to you/want to write to you.
- The other person should either send a polite refusal or their address and name they want the letter to be addressed to.
- You send YOUR address back so we aren't getting mail from weird people.
- Write your letter.
- Mail it!
- Oh, writing back is nice too. Heh.

The list of lovely people you can write to:

Australia
Asajii
Maelgwyn

*NOTE* If I do not have your country, I can't add you to the list. Don't want anyone to fubar postage or end up not being able to afford sending it . PM me with it or leave it in a reply, please.

Some guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions:
- You don't have to write to more than one or two people if you don't want to. No peer pressure here.
- It is okay to say no to someone. Just be polite about it.
- No hate mail. If I find out about it, something will be done. Removal from the list is the first thing I can think of.
- You can type it if you must but handwriting makes it a touch special. biggrin.gif
- You only have to send letters. Nothing more. We have Secret Santa for the packages, but that doesn't mean you can't send photos, stickers, articles, etc if you want to.
- Postcards can be awesome too.
- Stationary, notebook paper, printer paper, etc is great to use.
- Do NOT share the address of the person you are writing to with ANYONE else. I find out this is happening, it is grounds for removal from the list.
- When you refuse, you don't have to give a reason.
- If at anytime you want to be removed from the list, PM me.

First.... If the rules put forth by Jaenne aren't followed (hate mail, sharing addresses), it won't just be a removal from this list... Thought I'd back that one up. wink2.gif

Anymore questions come up and I'll add them.

Have fun!

I would be interested... but at the moment I can't participate... unless I get a P.O. Box address. My parents were quite upset that I gave away their home address for the SS thing. While I trust the people who got my address, they don't know y'all. *shrug* It's sad, but that's what i have to deal with.

And by sad, I mean boo hoo sad. Not pathetic sad. I just felt I should clarify that.

I'm game. Hopefully I can ship off a letter at least every two weeks, more likely at least once a week, though.

Alright, kiddies, we have 10 people interested. I'll put up the list later.

(Siwelwerd, are you in?) Also, I'll need to know countries for those of you that don't have them listed. This is so people that don't want to write out of their own country don't have to.

Stanz, the point is to get letters. Heh, if you must type them, type them but we want to get some mail. biggrin.gif
