Lightsaber Color Guide Look at the pretty colors.....

It has come to my attention that some people do not know what the colors of a jedi's lightsaber mean, or the fact that they mean anything. So here is my Guide. Hope it helps.

Blue = Jedi Guardian = "I WILL PWN YOU WITH MY BLUE LIGHTSABER!!!!"

Red = Dark side = HATE!!

Yellow = Jedi Sentinel = "Can't we all be friends."

Green = Jedi Counselor = "I am so much smarter than all you people, but I would never say that cuz I am SO at peace with myself."

Orange = Jedi Fodder = "I am only in this movie to die in the first major fight / get PWNed by generic clone troopers during Order 66." :thumbup

Purple is a unique case. And i shall explain it.....WITH PUPPETS!!!

So Mr. Jackson-

YOU WILL REFER TO ME AS MY FULL NAME, FOR I AM THE LORD OF BADASSERY!!

Sorry Mr- I mean Samuel L. Jackson. Anyways, what color lightsaber would you like?

Purple

But Samuel L. Jackson, that's not one of the colors!!

Strangely, that is pretty much how it went, or so the rumours go. Minus the "badassery" comment, I expect, but one can never tell.

But remember...old Ben Kenobi had a blue 'saber. And quite frankly, he got his ass kicked really easily. BUT he was an 'old wise man' who seemed to know everything. He should have been green.

I know that's the way the crystals work in the KOTOR games, not sure if that's applicable across the board. I agree with Mizafim that Ben Kenobi was more of a counselor than a guardian. Even those terms I thought were invented for the d20 RPG...(on which KOTOR is based)

Good guys are always the unhappiest.

I actually saw the conversation where this happened.
Jackson: "What color Lightsaber do I get?"
George:"What color do you want?"
Jackson: "Purple."
Goerge "Well, we don't really have a purple...",
Jackson: "Oh. Well, could I get one?"
George: "You might get one."

And he did. I'm also one board with the Obi-Wan/Counseler thing. ONE missed Force-User/Blade Color, in eons of use.

call it what ever color you want, and explain how he got it in anyway u want. The fact is, if i saw Samuel L. Jackson coming at me with anything that could remove limbs from my torso, i think i would start shitting myself.

I'm sorry, guys, but I just really don't think the rules are that specific.

We can't forget that the stories of Star Wars are film or literature lore, so I think the colors of the lightsabers might have more to do with character's sort of...character.

Blue might just signify youth of spirit, which explains Luke Skywalker's color change from blue to green. Also, Jedi like Masters Obi-Wan and Agen Kolar, it might indicate a sort of brashness with ones style of fighting.

Green would probably represent maturity or responsibility, as it is seen on most Masters or Knights. Yoda's saber was green, as was Qui Gon's.

Yellow is more than likely for Jedi who have a sort of rebellious or "hippi-like" attitude, nost satisfied with merely blue, green, or cyan--in some rare cases.

Or not, whatever. Who knows? George Lucas, that's who.
