Continuing to ride the wave of X-Men discussions that we all seem to be caught up in, I thought I'd ask

Who was the better nemesis for Wolverine brought to the big screen?

Sabretooth

OR

Lady Deathstrike / Yuriko

Personally, I thought both of these characters were the points where each film fell short. Sabretooth, although definately a wild, savage monster, was also an intelligent, maniacle villain, something that was not evident what so ever. Plus, his visuals just didn't do it for me.

Lady Deathstrike looked great visually, but to have such a great character acting entirely under someone else's control and then to kill her off seemed like she was sold short by a mile.

With that said though, I just can't bring myself to forgive the debacle that was Sabretooth. At least they had a few things right with Lady Deathstrike, so she would be my pick.

My bad. Consider it repaired.

I hope.

Sabertooth, You can't have Lady Deathstrike without going into the real back story of the Weapon X project, Her father's ties with organized crime in Japan, Logan's first fiance' in the comic(issue 180 I think), and ect. I'm still kinda hoping Omega Red appears though in this one.

^ Agree with you totally about Deathstrike. She's got so much backstory that's bypassed -- and not only that, Logan doesn't seem to even recognize her at all -- and therefore makes her character just more fodder for an X-Man to beat the tar out of.

Mind you, Sabertooth's not much better. He doesn't look nearly as strong as he should, nor does he seem to have the intelligence to put two and two together to make four. And again, Logan doesn't (if I remember right. And Googling movie scripts makes me wonder if I forget huge parts of the movie) remember Sabertooth at all from any past encounters. That makes it suck, too.

So both aren't very good simply because no background is given, nor is any kind of hint given that Logan knew them (although Sabertooth did nab Logan's dogtags).

Bah. I'll vote Sabertooth because he ain't dead.

First off, Kelly Hu is HHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second, Yuriko was most definitly Wolverine's better enemy in the comic. Cause not only was she his enemy, but she was his lover

i'll be fair. neither quite hit the silver screen the way i would have liked, but they gave her the sadistic personality that is so clearly hers.
