Hey crew,

I haven't been around much this week, but I noticed in sohmer posted this earlier today

Quote

To answer your question, I would like to bring back Dear Rayne at some point, but the demand has to be there. Barely anyone was reading it before...

I'd love to see this column come back. As far as I'm concerned it was almost as funny as the comic and a great add on. As such, I thought I'd fire up this little poll so we can show Sohmer that at least among us formites the demand for Dear Rayne's return is here (at least I hope it is).

Anyways, tell your friends let's get as many votes in here as we can.

I always enjoyed reading it and tried my best to read it every day - just didn't have any problems that Rayne could lend a hand to.

Wow. While on the one hand I'm glad to see that the seven of us have a burning desire for 'Dear Rayne's' return, and a few more cared enough to vote, maybe Sohmer was right about low demand. 24 is a lot less than I expected.... :(

Gi@nt, I only happened to stumble across this by accident, so maybe its not an accurate picture of how the majority of forumgoers feel, depending on how many come to this section of the forum. Maybe sticky it a few other places? I definitely want Dear Rayne back.

If Sohmer has time for it, then yeah, all for it. If not, though, I'd rather not have it pushed on him and possibly detract from the main comic, eh?

Once I have something properly worded though (already have something in mind, actually), I'll send something in for it...just you watch!

Good point Mizafim. Obviously this thread has no official bearing on any of Sohmer's decisions, I just wanted to (hopefully) demonstrate that there is some interest for Rayne's offbeat, but exceptionally insightful advice.

And Jiv I have mentioned this in threads where the topic of Dear Rayne has been raised, but maybe I'll see about mentioning it elsewhere too.

Just wanted to say that I think Sohmer is watching this thread. He mentioned something about it in the comments from today (august 1st)'s comments for the post on the main page. Somebody mentioned Dear Rayne and he said there was a thread in The Comic section he was watching closely. Get those votes in so he will bring Dear Rayne back! (42 votes in, yay! and no one said they don't want it back!)

I loved Dear Rayne. I was always horribly disappointed when it would miss days. I even sent in a letter, but it was never responded to.
