As promised, Least I Could Do Volume 6: I Am Not A Credible Source is now available for pre-sale.

Just to recap, for those who haven’t been paying attention, Lar and I will be signing ONLY the first 1,000 books sold. Therefore, should you want your copy signed, I would advise picking the book up right about now-ish.

As is the usual, the book contains all the strips from our 6th year, along with commentary anecdotes and various nonsense thrown in there by Lar and myself. Our goal with these books has always been to make it entertaining for you, even though you’ve read the strips before.

The Books themselves will be shipping out on December 10th, arriving at your doors just before Christmas.

It should be noted that we’re also selling all 6 LICD books in a bundle for a reduced price. All books in the bundle will be signed.

We’d like to thank each and every one of you who orders the books, as they are a huge part of how we’re able to keep making comics for you, day after day, year after year. Thanks for the support, folks.

- Because I can.

Quote of the Day

“I’ll probably be some kind of scientist
Building inventions in my space lab in space
I’ll end world hunger I’ll make dolphins speak
Work through the daytime, spend my nights and weekends
Perfecting my warrior robot race
Building them one laser gun at a time
I will do my best to teach them
About life and what it’s worth
I just hope that I can keep them from destroying the Earth”
-Future Soon, by Jonathan Coulton

Hooray for yearly collections!

Which reminds me, my webcomic's almost run for a year. Maybe I should start thinking about a collection.

Hope my cash flow ramps up soon.

Also, I'm conflicted. Now I have my nice 5 year slip case...and would have to leave this one alone in the cold.

I notice that the text for the package deal says if you buy all 5 you save 8%. Shouldn't that be if you buy all 6?

Also, what do I get if I come to your store rather than ordering online?
Deploy the... I think it's a yellow button... it's usually flashing... it makes the engines go ...WHOOSH!

So .. ah.. do you ship to Sweden?

Hey -

As long as you have a mailing address, we can ship to you. Shipping prices depend on the size and weight of the package, and on the method that you chose for shipping. The prices could range between $5 US and $50 US (or even more). After you enter your address at checkout in the online store, the site will prompt you for your method of shipping. The prices are written there next to the various methods.

Keep on reading!

To the Netherlands using the cheapest ption shipping is as much as the book itself. I'm guessing prices to ship it to Sweden are similar.

I ordered quite late as I didn't have time before going to work this morning, so I'll have to wait and see whether it's signed.

HOLY CRAP! the international shipping prices are extortionate!!

I've ordered allot of stuff from the states before and never had to pay this much and that includes bulky electronic items.

$50 for 5-7 day shipping is just unacceptable, you really need to look at your international couriers guys.

For starters, let me say that I don't know how to personally contact you, Sohmer, by e-mail, so I tried the next best thing, the forum.

I wanted to say a few things about the yearly e-mail you send to everyone on LICD, so here I go:
- The fact that you were not using pants made me laugh as hell! Because of that, you sir, are a God among us. How can you come up with such things?! Forget, you're Sohmer after all! So, that was some fact that didn't make me feel uncomfortable.rofl.gif

- The secret you told, now that was uncomfortable! I suffer from a long disease called, "Pocketchinson Shortage of Moneyrism", it's a strange and very annoying disease since it's a permanent one but not always present, it comes and goes. At the moment, it has come and haven't gone as soon as I foretold, so picking up my comment amount the announce of the 6th book, I can't afford it because of the disease I said and I know it's only for next year but please when it's going to be released tell me/us in advance even if it's going to be around this time of the year.bruce_h4h.gif

I promise, pledge allegance, and all synonymes that if I can reverse this condition even for a moment, I'll make a huuuuuge purchase from you, including every darn book (Beginnings too) and other goodies I had my heart threatning me with death for not buying and if didn't put them on my "To Buy" list.blush2.gif

So, for summing it all up, is there a maximum P&P costs that no matter how much I order the price of the courier won't change? rolleyes.gif

Btw, I live in Portugal, so can someone explain it to me?

SOHMER, I WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD IF YOU EVER STOP LICD, LFG OR ANY OTHER THING! ranting.gif pirate2.gif

Shipping costs have always been terrible. At least, since I want the books (2006).

We have a problem here, as these books help LICD to continue, but with lower shipping costs, it would sell better, especially in Europe. As if these books were not as essential as they are said to be.

Pay twice the price of the book to get it is way too much... I did managed to get the first 5 years and the LICD Beginning book, but I don't think I can afford them anymore... And that's really a pain in the ass... wallbash.gif

Hey Guys -

We have significantly lowered our US and international shipping rates. Last year, for a 5 book set, you would have paid an arm and a leg for shipping! Because the books are so heavy (6 book set approx 10 lbs), we get charged a huge amount to ship them internationally.

You are correct that when book 5 came out, the shipping rates were super low. These discounted shipping rates were actually an error on BFE's part, and we in turn left them the way that they were pre-set. Had you ordered at any other time of the yr, you would have seen the shipping prices were much much higher!
